Carlos A. Osmon, MD came to the United States in 1971 from Argentina to pursue his cancer training. After completing his Fellowship in 1976 from Emory University, he went into private practice in Cobb County before co-founding Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers, P.C. (NGOC) in 1995.  With a special interest in lymphoma, multiple myeloma and chronic leukemia, he works to find a cancer cure as an investigator of NGOC’s William S. Gibbons Cancer Research Institute.

Dr. Osmon has served as chairman of many committees at WellStar Cobb Hospital in Austell, GA and WellStar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, GA.   He also is actively involved in cancer research and clinical trials to find a cancer cure and provide his patients with the most advanced cancer treatment available in Georgia.

“The rapid advances in the understanding of the cancer process has resulted in an increasingly complex array of therapeutic targets in the management of these diseases.  The multidisciplinary medical oncology team at NGOC helps patients navigate through the complexities and intricacies of their cancer care journey.   Understanding the patient as an individual remains the main goal of my practice and, in this regard, there is no substitution for giving the patient the time the case deserves before offering the best strategy of treatment available.”

Dr. Osmon delivers patient-centered cancer care at NGOC’s Austell Cancer Center.
