Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers Announces the William S. Gibbons Cancer Research Institute . . . . a clinical trials program that offers access to the most promising new treatments available anywhere. The Institute is named in honor of Dr. William S. “Steve” Gibbons, a Marietta orthopedic surgeon who battled cancer for over twenty years. Dr. Gibbons’ family recently presented a portrait of Steve to Robert C. Hermann, principal investigator for the Institute. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Gibbons was an inspiration to countless cancer patients, caregivers, family, and friends. |
