Office Support Services
Our Support Services assists patients with connection to support services available for cancer care. These resources include assistance with pharmaceutical and financial aid, transportation help, hospice information resources, and information concerning cancer support groups. We provide resource materials that include local, state, and federal government organizations as well as non-profit and community organizations.
We help patients with guidance concerning financial assistance programs for all NGOC locations. Assistance programs would include:
- Pharmaceutical patient assistance programs
- Cancer State Aid
- Medicaid
- Medicare
- Social Security Disability Insurance
Cancer Patient Support Program
Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers (value-added services – no charge)
1. Consultation and orientation for new patients
- Packet of information
- Assessment of psychosocial needs, financial concerns or social concerns
- Community resources and referrals as needed
2. Appearance consultation groups to include Look Good Feel Better
3. Special events including Relay for Life
4. Patient resource room with video tapes, pamphlets and a lending library
5. Transition help for palliative care
