Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers’ (NGOC) team is patient-centered and community-based extending care beyond our cancer centers into the communities we serve. We are active members of the community by participating in events to promote and fund cancer treatment and research and also are advocates for public policy to ensure patients in northwest Georgia continue to have access to the best possible cancer care close to home.
NGOC’s community and patient advocacy involvement extends to the national level and state and county-wide events to individual acts of service from our medical team and patients including participating in medical missions, leading support groups and hosting fundraisers to help patients in need.
Relay For Life® is a popular community-based event in the spring sponsored by the American Cancer Society. The NGOC team and patients walk to raise funds for cancer research and enjoy a pre-event cookout under the NGOC tent.
NGOC is also a proud supporter of the MUST Ministries, a program that provides food, clothing, and needed household items to needy families.
